Common Misconceptions about New York City

Common Misconceptions about New York City

When people often think of NYC they think of bright lights, big city and the American aristocracy that comes with it. Sure this may exists but it accounts for less than one half of 1% of the population. Meet Floe, Mary and Jack, my neighbors in the upper east side of manhattan. The three of are a prefect representation of what the real New Yorker encompasses. The three off them have likely never ventured out side of a ten block radius in their live. All three of them were born at a local hospital, 8 blocks away. All have lived in the same apartment for most of their lives. And rather than taking a foreign vacation, most of them use their vacation time to stay home and watch fox news and friend or hold down a stoop. These New Yorkers do not enjoy in depth financial analysis of the Wall Street Journal nor new literature section of the New Yorker but rather spending their reading time engrossed in the gossip of the dirty rag known as the New York Post.
